The company Grupo Alimentario de Lorca S.L. (private limited company) is located in Lorca in the autonomous region of Murcia. This is a strategic area between the east and the south of Spain which is characterised by its deeply-rooted stockbreeding tradition and culture.

This company has an extensive experience in the meat industry and it mainly works to obtain and market fresh meat and elaborated pork and cattle products.

The essential part of our business task is our philosophy: To guarantee safe and reliable products to our consumers.

Our company supplies products in both the domestic and the international market under the denomination of La Comarca. We export our products to countries in Europe, Africa and Asia.

The distribution in the Canary Islands is being entirely performed by its subsidiary ¿La Comarca Canaria, SL¿, placed in Mercalaspalmas, where their products are marketed.

Our team

One of the main strong points of the Grupo Alimentario de Lorca S.L. is its people. Nowadays our company has more than 200 workers (taking into account both direct and indirect jobs); a large family which is qualified to respond the daily needs demanded by our customers.

Manufacturing Process:
Mission Quality.

Being their main objective customers¿ satisfaction at their product quality , the whole productive process is closely monitored to comply with the current legislation relating animal welfare and hygienic sanitary laws, as well as to fit the needs of the different markets.

Pig Slaughterhouse.

Its daily production capacity is over 2,000 pigs. All the animals are sows and hogs, which once transformed into carcasse pork flesh, the pieces are classified and selected according to their characteristics and destination.

Cattle Slaughterhouse.

Its daily production capacity is over 200 heads. The whole production process is notable for a traceability that allows them to achieve the total control of the product.

In view of the needs of the Muslim community, the slaughter is made following the procedures of the Halal rite.

Pig Butchering Room.

Its daily production capacity is over 1,500 hogs. The butchering process is characterized by their versatility at obtaining a variety of pieces, which are classified, selected and presented according to the target market.

Cattle Butchering Room.

The daily production volumen is over 10 tm. The pieces obtained keep the individual traceability, which results in a complete control of the origin. In this case, versatility is also its commercial strength.

Most of the livestock (both pigs and cattle) on which Grupo Alimentario de Lorca, S.L. is stocked up come from farms located in the Region of Murcia.

Livestock farmers, who are committed to obtain safe and high-quality products, have at their disposal control systems guaranteeing adequate food and a correct use and providing a complete traceability during the whole production cycle.
