BODEGAS SAN ISIDRO (BSI)
CIF: F30003420
BSI-BODEGAS SAN ISIDRO is a great winery founded on 1934 by cooperative shareholders and it is the main producer of the Jumilla Protected Designation of Origin.
Nowadays BSI has around 400 cooperative shareholders devoted to the cultivation of their vineyards and to the production of our PDO Jumilla wines. Our cooperative partners own 3.500 hectares of vineyards, most of them from organic farming grapes.
Monastrell is the main variety we work with. It gives our wines an intense color, fruity flavor, complexity and character. Monastrell grape is cultivated using traditional methods: bush vines and pick up by hand. BSI also works with other grapes varieties such as Petit Verdot, Syrah and Merlot.
Great investments have been made to adapt the company to the new market¿s demands. Our company has carried out an important change in all the sections: elaboration and production systems (the most modern techniques and machineries), ITC, enoturism and human resources.
Today BSI-Bodegas San Isidro has the most advanced technology for the elaboration, bottling and aging of our wines. Our winery has a storage capacity for 52 million litres, our cellar room has around 3.000 oak barrels for ageing wines and our bottling machine is able to produce 10.000 bottles per hour.
Our Gémina small winery is a special cellar devoted to the elaboration of our finest wines. These wines are elaborated from Monastrell selected grapes, only coming from European Root Vineyards older than 40 years. (MONASTRELL PIE FRANCO).
BSI has always focused on ¿the quality of their wines¿ together with the secret of a good winemaker and the love for its land. Our processes have received certification under the ISO-9001 quality standard, the ISO-14001 environmental standard and the IFS and BRC food safety standards as well as organic farming certificates.
Around 40% of total production is sold in the National Market, and the 60% left is sold abroad in Export Markets, our wines are sold all around the world.
BSI wines have been awarded in several competitions as well as specialized magazines and wine guides all over the world. Our wines include a variety of different young and oaked wines able to satisfy the most demanding markets. The result is a collection of fine wines that are generous of fruit and seamlessly integrated ¿ balanced wines with a long finish. Enjoy our wines!!!
