GEM 86 CONSULTORES, S.L.

Gem86 is a company which offers specialized services at international level. Founded in 1986, it initially set out to cater for the needs of the transport sector in international tax-related matters, and was the first Spanish company to offer the V.A.T. Refund service in all European countries. In 1993, the company was appointed sole external agent of BP Oil España S.A., and since then it has been marketing the BP Plus petrol card. In 1997 it entered into another agreement with BP Oil España which enabled users of the BP Plus card to have free access to the V.A.T. Refund service. In the same year, BP Portuguesa, S.A. named the company as its official V.A.T Refund agent for its customers. In 1997, Gem86 set up a new business area called Gem86 Communicaciones (Gem86 Communications), whose main objective was to cater for the communication needs (Translation and Interpreting) of companies and institutions in the Region of Murcia and other neighbouring provinces, thus consolidating its position as the leading specialised services company in south-east Spain.
