25% more firms created in Murcia in 2012
The registered capital amounted to ¿9,500, slightly higher that in previous months.
In addition to this increase in the number of businesses, Murcia together with Navarre, was one of the Spanish regions where less companies went out of business, with a total of 20 and 26 respectively. The highest numbers of companies going out of business was registered in Madrid (713), Andalusia (536) and Catalonia (432).
The entrepreneurial dynamism of Murcia was certainly far stronger than that of many other regions. In the whole of Spain, a total of 8,853 firms were created, 11.3% more than in January of 2011, with an average registered capital of ¿8,853. This shows that despite current difficulties, the entrepreneurial nature of the region remains intact.
